Wintershall Noordzee B.V. has awarded Scaldis the decommissioning of 4 platforms, L8-A, L8-H, P6-B and P6-D in the Southern North Sea.
The scope included engineering, preparations, removal and disposal of the 4 platforms L8-A, L8-H, P6-B and P6-D. the P6-D platform was anchored by means of suction cans that had to be retrieved with pumps. Additionally, Scaldis had to cut and remove conductors on the platforms. Thanks to decent preparation and good communication with both the MWS and client, Scaldis removed all platforms safely and well within the time frame.
The execution of the works was divided in 5 phases:
- Removal Plan & Removal Engineering (onshore)
- Offshore Preparations
- Platform Removals
- Seabed Cleaning & Survey
- Disposal of all materials
